Welcome to the Central Mississippi Community of the Walk to Emmaus<\/span><\/h2>\n

The Walk to Emmaus is a spiritual renewal and formation experience intended to strengthen the local church through the development of Christian disciples and leaders.<\/p>\n

The Walk to Emmaus experience begins with the prayerful discernment and invitation from a sponsor, who may be a friend or someone in your local church who has previously completed a Walk to Emmaus weekend. Once the invitation is accepted, an application is completed. The Emmaus leaders prayerfully consider each applicant and in God’s time, the person is invited to attend. At this point, the applicant (called a Pilgrim) is invited to attend a three-day experience where they have the opportunity to have God’s grace and love revealed to them through other believers.<\/p>\n

Following the three-day experience, the walk participants are invited to join in small groups which support one another in their ongoing walk with Christ. This accountable discipleship allows the participants to develop their individual gifts and servant-leadership skills, and offers encouragement to find ways to live out their individual call to discipleship at home, church, and in their community.<\/p>\n

To attend a Central Mississippi Emmaus Walk, an application and deposit must be submitted either online or by mail. If you need additional information, please contact Monica Parker at centralmsemmaus@gmail.com.

Central Mississippi Emmaus walk weekends take place at 6 Mile Camp in Crystal Springs, MS.<\/p>\n

Here are directions to 6 Mile Camp:<\/strong><\/p>\n

From I-55, take exit 72 (Crystal Springs exit) and go east on Hwy 27 toward Georgetown. In 3.6 miles take a right onto Blocker Road. In 1.1 miles take a left at the stop sign onto 6 Mile Road. In 0.3 miles take a right into 6 Mile Camp.<\/p>\n
